We’re baaacck; the archives, that is. Very sorry to have missed the past few weeks. I really wanted to keep it going consistently but the holidays, life, etc, kept pulling me back. Speaking of holidays, we hope yours were joyous and you got what you deserved... presents-wise, of course. More importantly, we hope all your friends and family were satisfied by your gifts of tuneZ.
We lost a few exceptional musicians recently:
Alice Coltrane, pianist wife of John Coltrane
Michael Brecker, of the Brecker Brothers and others
“Sneaky” Pete Kleinow, psychedelic pedal steel guitarist (Flying Burrito Brothers) as well as special fx animator (Gumby, Star Wars)
To make up for it we had a couple of fabulous birthdays including everybody’s favorite absent archivist and all around bon vivant, tuneZfull!!! Yea... Alright, he paid me to say all those things.
And, coming up on the 23rd, everybody’s favorite li’l sis, jazzluv, Suite 16 plus. Take a bow, Princess.
Uploads were down a bit and now that brother Bluesman is going on hiatus while he gets wired - way to go, bro - we’ll be missing some of his “spam posts” as Boris likes to call them. Nonetheless, peace and prosperity, fun and games are the rule in this little niche on the net.
